We believe a successful advisor/client experience starts with a congruent investing philosophy. Therefore, it is important for prospective clients to understand what to expect from day one. We have told you our vision and methodology of conducting business. The following examples of what we are NOT should further define who we ARE.
Stock Pickers – We don’t gamble with our client's future.
Market Timing Proponents – It is hard enough to get timing right once (i.e. pull out of the market), but remember timers must be right twice (i.e. when to get back in).
A Typical Wall Street Firm – LPL is based in San Diego, Boston, and Fort Mill, SC. while Sterling is strategically located in Westlake Village, California. Our clients are not just looked at as another account, but people we look forward to developing a friendship and personal relationship with, that will last many years.
Know It All Firm – The financial world is enormous. New products and investments are created frequently. We focus on long term investment strategies and goal–oriented financial planning. We bring in other experts in their field such as estate attorneys, CPAs, and tax advisors for other important financial assistance if you are not currently working with one.
Speculating Firm– The only prediction we make is that capitalism is resilient and strong and will continue indefinitely into the future. What industry or asset class will perform best next quarter is left for the magazines and newsletter gurus to debate.
Product Sales Advisors – We do not have products to sell or quotas to meet. We focus on applying financial science to the investing process in long term client relationships.
